FARGO, N.D. - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (20-15) shut out the Sioux Falls Pheasants (14-21) by a score of 3-0 on Saturday night at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, ND.

The RedHawks displayed all facets of the game tonight in front of the 4,045 fans in attendance. They belted out 11 hits, stole four bases, and didn't allow a single run.

Alex Caldera (4-0) pitched over seven innings in his second start of the year. The Pheasants had six hits off of him, but they were unable to make it past second base. Caldera had four strikeouts and picked up his fourth win of the year. Casey Hoorelbeke entered the game in the eighth inning and finished off the shutout en route to his second save.

Fargo started the scoring in the third inning. Mike Coles laced a single to right center and stole two bases before scoring on a sacrifice fly by Nic Jackson for the first run of the game.

The RedHawks struck again in the fifth inning. Phil Britton led off with a double and was moved to third on a single by Brian Ruggiano. Coles plated him with another sac fly. Then, Zach Penprase reached on a fielder's choice. Penprase stole second base, and again the RedHawks took advantage of their stolen bases as Jackson punched a ground ball through the right side of the infield to score Penprase.

Brandon Rapoza (1-5) had a quality start, going the required six innings and giving up all three RedHawk runs (all earned), but it wasn't enough as he ended up with the loss.

The RedHawks will play the final game of their four-game series against the Sioux Falls Pheasants Sunday afternoon. Game time is 1:00 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling 701-235-6161, online at www.fmredhawks.com, or at the Ticket Office during business hours.
