
Burns sets franchise record in Snapper win over the Swing

Deacon Burns was 2 for 4 with a triple and a RBI in the Snappers 7-4 win over the Swing of the Quad Cities. The triple by Burns was his 12th of the year, which sets franchise record. The Snappers broke a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the seventh when Jeremy Pickrel came through with a two out, two run triple. The next batter, Trevor Plouffe, would single him home to make the score 7-4. In six innings pitched Snapper starter Kyle Waldrop struck out two, allowed seven hits, and struck out two without issuing a walk.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers open up an eight game road trip in Kane Country tomorrow. Following that series, the Snappers will head to Dayton to play four against the Dragons. Beloit returns home for the final eight games of the regular season August 29 through September 5.
