
Devil Rays Rundown: Mascot Olympics, Friday Fireworks and Team Photo Day

Southwest Michigan Devil Rays News Release
The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays stop by C.O. Brown Stadium for a four-game series with the Burlington Bees from August 19-22. The Devil Rays have 16 games remaining with 12 of the them at home. The team is 27-26 in the second half and is only three games out of first place for the second half division championship. Of the 16 games, only four are against an Eastern Division opponent (Lansing). A combination of 13 Devil Rays wins and Lansing losses will put the franchise into the playoffs for the first time since 2003.
Devil Rays vs. Burlington Bees
Friday August 19, 7:05 p.m. -- Enjoy the final Friday Fireworks show of 2005 presented by Q-106.5 & the Greater Guide of Southwest Michigan. This night will also feature many area School & Professional team mascot entertainers for the first ever Mascot Olympics at C.O. Brown Stadium. United States Congressman Joe Schwarz will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the start of this game.
Saturday August 20, 7:05 p.m. -- Enjoy Rally for the final time in 2005 as he entertains the crowd when the D-Rays play Burlington. The D-Rays will also celebrate Western Michigan University night as Buster will be in attendance. WMU will give away tickets to various sporting events occurring during the 2005-06 school year. Any fan wearing WMU logo attire will receive a $2 off any adult ticket discount at the Devil Rays ticket office. The game is presented by WRKR 107.7.
Sunday August 21, 2:05 p.m. -- Team Photo & Autograph Day presented by McCullough Family Chiropractic. Team Photos will be given to the 1st 1,000 fans and an on-field pre-game autograph session will occur from 1:05 until 1:25 pm. On this Family Sunday, "Sharkey" from the Discovery Channel will also appear. Kids Run the Bases following the game. Also presented by WKFR 103.3.
Monday, August 22, 7:05 p.m. -- The Devil Rays will be presenting another Pizza Buffet where fans can enjoy all-you-can-eat pizza for only $5. The Devil Rays will finish the series with Burlington.
