Bulls Topple Sounds 7-3

NASHVILLE, T.N. -Bulls designated hitter Alex Jackson recorded two hits including an RBI double and center fielder Kameron Misner went yard in Durham's 7-3 win over Nashville on Saturday evening at First Tennessee Park.

SS Tristan Gray put the Bulls on the board in the second frame when he scored on a wild pitch. C Blake Hunt and Jackson each drove in a run in the fourth before 1B Austin Shenton and RF Ruben Cardenas put up two more tallies in the following inning. Misner's homer extended the Bulls lead to 6-1 before 3B Osleivis Basabe's single shot to center field brought the final score to 7-3.

Durham starter Nathan Wiles (7.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 0 BB, 6 SO) earned the victory, while Jason Alexander (5.0 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 1 BB, 4 SO), suffered the defeat.

The two teams are scheduled to face off again on Sunday evening, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm. RHP Janson Junk is anticipated to start for the Sounds, while Durham's starter is to be announced.
