DURHAM, NC - The Durham Bulls' (8-10) bid at a three-game sweep over the Buffalo Bisons (5-6) was ended Wednesday afternoon at the DBAP, falling 5-2.

The Bulls were stymied by the Bisons' starting pitcher Ryan Borucki (W, 1-2), who struck out seven through six innings, allowing one run on five hits. Reese McGuire hit a two-run home run in the fourth that gave the Bisons their second win on a six-game road trip.

The Bulls got on the board in the home half of the third with a solo home run from Adam Moore, putting Durham on top 1-0. The Bisons erased that lead on an RBI single by Anthony Alford and McGuire's two-run shot in the fourth, putting them ahead 3-1.

Lefty Vidal Nuno (L, 1-1) was dealt his first loss of the season after allowing four runs over 4.1 innings, with five strikeouts.

In the top of the seventh, the skies opened up causing a 27-minute rain delay. The delay had no effect on the bat of outfielder Jason Coats, who led off the home half of the seventh with a solo blast over the Blue Monster, cutting the deficit to 4-2. The outfielder's third home run of the year placed him atop the team lead in homers.

The Bulls fell to 7-5 at home, after completing their final homestand of the month of April. Durham returns home on May 3 for the opening of an eight-game homestand against Toledo and Norfolk.

Durham is off Thursday and hits the road to face the Gwinnett Stripers for the beginning of a six-game road trip on Friday, April 27. Southpaw Anthony Banda (2-2, 4.74) is scheduled to start against LHP Luiz Gohara (MLB Rehab) in game one at Coolray Field, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
