Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
(Rochester, NY) - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (72-63) bullpen didn't allow a run and Darick Hall hit his 25th home run of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Rochester Red Wings (60-76) won 5-3 on Tuesday evening.
Rochester scored five runs against Noah Skirrow (0-1) in the bottom of the third inning. Taylor Gushue hit his fourth home run of the season and Jake Alu hit a grand slam, his ninth home run of the season. Jonathan Hennigan struck out the side in the bottom of the sixth inning. Erik Miller and Chris Devenski each pitched back-to-back scoreless innings in relief.
Alberto Baldonado (2-2) earned his second win of the season. He struck out two batters and gave up just one hit in 1 1/3 innings in relief. Reed Garrett earned his second save of the season by striking out two batters in the top of the ninth inning.
