Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. â The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the New York Islanders, have announced that forward Brett Nowak has agreed to terms on a contract for the 2004-05 season. Nowak will accompany the Bullies for their two pre-season games in Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday.
Nowak (pronounced "Novak"), 23, spent his entire 2003-04 rookie season with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League where he notched 3 goals and 13 points in 55 games. The New Haven, CT native played collegiate hockey at Harvard University where he was a Second-Team All-Ivy League Honoree during the 2002-03 season and finished third on the Crimson in scoring with 12 goals and a career-best 41 points.
Nowak was a fourth-round draft choice of the Boston Bruins in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
The Bullies will battle the Las Vegas Wranglers in pre-season action at 10:05PM on Friday and Saturday from the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Catch both broadcasts live through B2 Networks at www.boardwalkbullies.com.
Opening Weekend 2004 at Historic Boardwalk Hall is just around the corner as the Bullies battle heated rivals Trenton at 7:05PM on Friday, October 29 and Reading at 7:05PM on Saturday, October 30.
