Fresno Falcons News Release

Fresno, Calif. - After falling behind 2-0 through the first period, the Blue team scored three times in a 2:07 span of the third period to defeat the White team, 3-2, at the Fresno Falcons' Blue-White Scrimmage in front of an audience of season ticket holders and corporate sponsors at Save Mart Center.

Center Dan Tessier opened the scoring for the White club just 1:27 into the hockey game after stealing an outlet pass and converting on the ensuing breakaway. John Wroblewski, one of nine returning Falcons in training camp, added to White's lead by driving to the net from the wing and slipping one underneath goaltender Simon Lajeunesse at 15:32 of the opening period.

After neither team scored in the second period, White carried its 2-0 lead into the third. Justin Wise then began Team Blue's comeback at 3:13 of the frame before Tomas Jasko quickly tied the game :43 seconds later. Returning Falcon Mike Kiesman fired in a rebound to complete the three-goal rally at 5:20. Despite pulling their goaltender, Mike Betz, White never mounted a serious challenge in the game's final moments and Blue held on for the 3-2 victory.

The Falcons reunite as a team tomorrow when they take on the Bakersfield Condors in a pre-season game at Save Mart Center at 7 p.m. All tickets are $5 general admission seats and can be purchased at Save Mart Center's box office and all Ticketmaster outlets.

Single-game tickets for all 36 regular season home games, including Fresno's season opener on Oct. 22 at Save Mart Center against the Las Vegas Wranglers, are now on sale for as low as $8 per seat.
