Laredo went up 1-0 at the 6:21 mark of the first when Daniel Koger scored from the top of the right circle on an odd-man rush to score his team-leading 19th of the season. The Bucks have scored first in six of their last seven games.

The Bucks would go up 2-0 less than two minutes later when Justin Styffe snuck by the Bees defense and scored on a slap shot from the top of the circle on a breakaway to score his sixth goal of the season.

Laredo increased their lead to 3-0 just 37 seconds later when Matte re-directed Serge Dube's slap shot from the point on the power-play to score his first of the game and second of the season.

Darryl Smith would increase the Bucks lead to 4-0 with 8:12 left in the first when he picked up a loose puck in the Bees zone and scored from the left circle to net his eighth of the year. The Bucks improve to 10-1-1 this season when scoring four or more goals.

Matte would pick up his second of the night less than a minute later when he picked up another loose puck in the Bees zone and scored from the bottom of the left circle to net his third of the year.

The Bucks outshot the Bees 13-3 in the first period. The three shots allowed in the first were the least allowed in a period by the Bucks this season.

Laredo increased their lead to 6-0 with just 33 seconds left in the second period when Ryan Lehr scored from the point to net his sixth of the campaign.

The Bucks were outshot in the second period 14-8.
