Broncos Select Oliver Jokel In CHL Import Draft

The Swift Current Broncos are pleased to announce the selection of Oliver Jokel with the 36th over-all pick in the CHL import draft.
Jokel, a native of Kosice Slovakia, will turn 17 years old on August 7th. Last season the 6'1" 170 lb centre played for the HC Kosice Under 20 team.
Head Coach and General Manager Dean Chynoweth says: "We are excited to get the opportunity to draft Oliver, from all reports; he's an explosive skater that works hard and has a good scoring touch. We feel he should fit in well with our young group of forwards"
Jokel, joins 18 year old Jan Dalecky as the two import players on the Broncos' roster. 20 year old David Stieler will be moving on to play pro hockey in his native Czech Republic after spending two years in Swift Current.
