KAMLOOPS, BC - In the first round of the CHL Import Draft, 30th overall, the Blazers chose 18-year-old defenseman Michal Šiška (SHISH-kah) - also of Slovakia - from the HK Zvolen Juniors. In 40 games with the U20 Juniors, Šiška scored 3 goals and added 15 assists and complied a +15 rating.
The 6'0", 172-pound blueliner is also eligible for the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
