Raiders select Revenko in Euro Draft

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - The Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to announce they have selected 18 year-old Left Wing/Centre Igor Revenko from Minsk, Belarus with the 48th selection in today's Canadian Hockey League European Draft. Revenko was second in overall scoring at the recent World Under 18 Championships in Russia where he had 3 goals and 8 assists for 11 points in 6 games for Belarus. For the past two years, Revenko has played for his hometown Minsk in the Belarus 2nd League. This past season he had 13 goals and 29 assists for 42 points in 54 games.

Earlier today the Raiders acquired 18 year-old right centre Jordan Hickmott from the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for the Raiders selections 15th and 75th in the draft. Revenko will join 18 year-old defenseman Tomas Voracek from Ostrava, Czech Republic as the Raiders' two Europeans at training camp starting August 22.
