Brine called up to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward David Brine has been recalled by the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Brine makes his second trip to the Americans this season having skated in four games with them from January 16-20. During his first stint in Rochester the 22-year-old scored a goal and was a plus-1 rating. With the Everblades this season Brine has 30 points (9g, 21a) in 50 games and his third on the team in plus/minus with a plus-12 rating.

Although the Truro, Nova Scotia is in his first full professional season, Brine did see action in nine playoff games with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL in 2005-06. Prior to turning pro Brine spent three seasons at the junior level with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In 207 career QMJHL games he notched 198 points (70g, 128a), including a career high 100 points in 70 games during his final season with the Mooseheads.
