The next bout featured Wranglers' forward Shawn Limpright, squaring off with Idaho's Lance Galbraith in a middle-weight bout. Wranglers' defenseman Scott Schoneck and Scott Burt took their turn moments later to wrap up a fight-filled first period.
In the second period, it took only a 1:12 before Ryan Donally and Yablonski squared off in another heavyweight tilt. The Wranglers were able to tie the game 30-seconds later when Arpad Mihaly intercepted a pass in the Idaho zone, and fed Kelly Czuy on the doorstep for his tenth goal of the season. The Wranglers took a lead 2-1 on a shorthanded goal by Marco Peluso at 5:44. Idaho's Scott Burt answered back on the same power play to tie the game, when he banked a shot in off the back of Mike McKenna's legs into the net to make it a 2-2 game.
After a scoreless third period and overtime, the game was decided in a shootout. Mike McKenna stopped four of five shooters, and Shawn Limpright and Marco Peluso each scored in the shootout to give the Wranglers the 2-1 shootout win and 3-2 victory in the game.
