VanBallegooie Loaned to Bridgeport

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons announced today that defenseman Dustin VanBallegooie has been loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. Bridgeport is the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders.

VanBallegooie is tied for fourth on the Falcons' scoring list this season, tallying 10 goals and adding 21 assists for 31 points. He enjoyed his best month of the season in February, scoring three goals and nine assists for 12 points. Following last night's 5-0 win over Cincinnati, VanBallegooie has scored a point in four straight games, and five out of six (3g, 6a).

The 23-year-old is in his third professional season, all of which have been spent with the Falcons. Last season, he represented the Falcons at the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game, and enjoyed his best statistical season with 13 goals and 27 assists for 40 points. This is the first AHL call-up for VanBallegooie, who attended training camp with the AHL's Norfolk Admirals prior to this season.

The Falcons are back in action on Friday, hosting the Victoria Salmon Kings at 7:30 p.m. KSEE 24, 93.7 KISS Country, and Pizza Hut present the return of the zaniest act in all of sports, The Zooperstars.
