West Valley City, UT (February 28, 2007) Brendan Cook, Travis Rycroft and Joel Irving scored goals in a span of one minute and 19 seconds to defeat the Wildcatters (31-17-5-4) 5-3 in front of 3,541 at The E Center. Mike Bayrack gave the 'Catters a 1-0 lead in the first period as he scored the first of his two goals on the evening with a backhanded shot beating Utah goaltender Rob McVicar. The Grizzlies evened the score at one as Andy Sertich's shot from the point beat 'Catters goalie Matt Yeats.

Utah exploded in the second as Cook jammed home the puck in front of the net at the 4:40 mark. Then it was Rycroft 12 seconds later to make it 3-1 Utah. Irving at the 5:59 mark completed the scoring frenzy with help from D.J. Jelitto and Eric Nelson. The 'Catters chipped away at the lead as Leon Hayward netted his 12th goal of the season and it was 4-2 Utah after two periods.

Bayrack scored his second of the night and 27th of the year 10:27 into the third period from Mike Madill and Brandin Cote. Madill directed the shot towards the net and Bayrack was right in front for the redirection to cut the lead to one. Texas had a late power play and pulled goaltender Yeats for the extra attacker, but Eric Nelson cleared the puck all the way down into the 'Catters net for the empty net goal to cinch the 5-3 victory. The Wildcatters out shot Utah 43-39 in the loss. Texas went 1 for 8 on the power play while Utah went 1 for 5. Jonathan Paiement added two assists for the Wildcatters.
