Reading Royals News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Lee Green has been loaned to the Binghamton Senators of the AHL. Green (6'1"/210 lbs.) (25), a second year pro from Soldotna, Alaska, will join Reading teammates Kevin Saurette, Shawn Collymore and Rob LaLonde all of whom are currently with the Senators. Green has not yet registered a point in eight games with the Royals since being acquired from the Las Vegas Wranglers as a part of the trade of Arpad Mihaly on January 28. In 37 games with the Wranglers before the trade, Green scored a goal and picked up six assists and 57 penalty minutes. This marks the first trip to AHL in the career of Green, who played his college hockey at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. In a separate transaction yesterday, the Royals waived defenseman Tyler Kindle.

The Royals return to action on Friday night (7:05 pm) at the Sovereign Center against the Johnstown Chiefs, when Athletic Trainer Brian Grogesky will become the third person in team history inducted into the Reading Eagle Wall of Honor. The first 2000 fans that night will receive a Brian Grogesky trading card courtesy of the Reading Eagle. Royals' game night broadcasts can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1240 am (and on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com), beginning thirty minutes before the opening face-off. Streaming video is also available for $6.00 per game through the B2 Networks, which can be accessed through the Royals' website.
