
Brahmas to Recognize Former Captain Minard Next Saturday

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (November 19)- The Texas Brahmas most recognizable #27 will be honored on Saturday, November 27 at the NYTEX Sports Centre as the organization will have a special pregame ceremony for former captain, Craig Minard.
Minard played 10 professional years of hockey, including three with Texas (2007-2010). In three seasons with the Brahmas, Minard became the backbone of the blueline and heart of the team, accumulating 70 points (7 G, 63 A) in 159 regular season games. The Orangeville, ONT native's defensive soundness helped aid the Brahmas to a 12-4 record in the 2009 playoffs and the franchise's first Championship title.The ceremony will take place prior to faceoff next Saturday when Texas hosts the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs at 7:30 pm, where much of Minard's career was spent (2001-2006). Minard and his family continue to live in the Metroplex.
MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHTS
Next week marks the Brahmas and NYTEX Sports annual "Military Appreciation Nights" where all current and former military servicemen and women will receive $5 Terrace or $10 Plaza and Club Tickets; up to four tickets with proof of military ID at the Brahmas Box Office.
Festivities will begin Wednesday evening when Texas plays the Mudbugs for a 7 pm start. Following the game, fans will have the opportunity to participate in a free post-game skate with the Brahmas. The Brahmas return to the ice Friday with their special military themed jerseys to take on the Laredo Bucks at 7:30 pm. Concluding the week will be a contest against the Mudbugs on Saturday at NYTEX at 7:30 pm; immediately after the game will be a live game worn jersey auction . A portion of the proceeds from the auction will go to Snowball Express, an organization focused on providing new memories to the children of fallen military heroes who passed away while on active duty since September 11, 2001.
