Brahmas Bring in Bradley on Trade Deadline Day

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 7)- The Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today the acquisition of defenseman George Bradley from the Evansville Icemen.

Bradley, 26, has split his season with the Icemen and Colorado Eagles for the 2010-11 campaign. In 19 games with Evansville the Burlington, ONT native registered a pair of assists and 13 penalty minutes. With Colorado, he had an assist and 19 penalty minutes in 16 games. Last season Bradley, 6-foot-3 and 209 pounds, skated with the Allen Americans in six games.

Prior to going pro, Bradley defended the blueline for Brock University (CIS), and in 102 games the steady defenseman had 17 points (2 G, 15 A) in five seasons (2005-2010). The acquisition completes the trade that sent goaltender Jeff Harvey and forward Matt Pierce to the Icemen earlier in the season.

Texas also sent the rights of defenseman Steven Later to the Missouri Mavericks to complete the trade that brought center Sean Muncy to the Brahmas. This completes the trade that was took place on Friday, February 4.

The Brahmas are back in action this weekend beginning with a road game against the Oilers in Tulsa Friday evening followed by a contest at the NYTEX Sports Centre this Saturday against the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.
