Sundogs Acquire MacDonald from Bloomington, Deal Williams and Bezeau at Deadline

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro, in conjunction with the Bloomington PrairieThunder, announced today the team has acquired forward Craig MacDonald in exchange for first-year forward Jason Williams and rookie defenseman Billy Bezeau. Arizona will also receive future considerations as part of the deal.

The two teams completed the deal prior to the Central Hockey League's 3:00pm (CST) trade deadline Monday.

MacDonald, 28, collected 11 points (3g/8a) and 47 penalty minutes (PIM) in 30 games with the PrairieThunder this season.

A native of Milton, Ontario, MacDonald last skated in the CHL with the now-defunct New Mexico Scorpions during the 2008-09 season, tallying 35 goals, 36 assists and a plus-16 rating.

In 235 career CHL regular season and playoff contests, MacDonald has recorded 211 points (100g/111a), 329 PIM and a plus-28 rating.

The 6-foot, 180-pound forward was a member of the IHL's Bloomington PrairieThunder last season, registering 44 goals, 46 assists and 135 PIM in 76 contests.

Williams, 24, collected 26 points (12g/14a) in 44 games with Arizona while Bezeau, 24, totaled five goals and 15 assists in 45 contests with the Sundogs this season.

Additionally, Pietroniro announced the team has activated and waived rookie netminder Bobby Jarosz.

Jarosz appeared in five games with Arizona this season, compiling a 1-4-0 record, 4.37 goals against average and .860 save percentage.
