Tulsa Oilers News Release
Back Home: After a make-up game at Allen on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. (postponed from last Wednesday) the Tulsa Oilers return home for the first time in two weeks hosting the Texas Brahmas Friday and the Mississippi RiverKings Saturday with both home games starting at 7:35 p.m. All games can be accessed via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com and CHL TV.
Reversals: The Oilers earned three out of four points last weekend in two games at Mississippi, losing 4-3 in overtime on Friday and winning 5-3 on Saturday. Both games featured comebacks. The Oilers led 3-1 going into the third period on Friday, but still earned a point in the standings. On Saturday, Mississippi jumped into the early lead with a goal in the first half minute, and led 3-0 only 11 minutes into the game.
Now No. 1: Chad Costello has moved into first place in the CHL scoring race with 27 goals and 43 assists for 70 points. He also has the league's longest scoring streak this season, which he extended to 16 games over the weekend. He has 14 goals and 21 assists for 35 points during the streak.
Beau Back: After missing the previous weekend's two games Michel Beausoleil returned to the line-up and had three goals and an assist in the two games.
I Thee Wed: It will be pucks and nuptials on Saturday as the Oilers will host a wedding. Misty Story and Justin Bean will tie the knot at the Oilers game Saturday against Mississippi. They will be married during the first intermission of Saturday's game.
