Boston Recalls Goaltender Sigalet

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, member of the American Hockey League, announced that the Boston Bruins have recalled from loan goaltender Jordan Sigalet.

Jordan Sigalet is entering his rookie season. In 13 games this season with Providence Sigalet is 6-5-1 with a 2.81 GAA and a 88.9 save percentage. He made his NHL debut on January 7 in a 6-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning playing 43 seconds. Before turning pro, he played four seasons at Bowling Green State University where in 102 career collegiate games had a 34-46-16 record with a 2.98 GAA and a 91.5 SV. %. The New Westminster, British Columbia native is the All-Time Leader in save percentage at BGSU and second all-time in GAA. Last season, Sigalet was named to the All-CCHA Second Team and was a Hobey Baker Finalist. After the 2003-04 season, the goaltender was named to the All-CCHA First Team and led the nation in minutes played (2210:02), saves (1,140) and shots faced (1,241). He was Boston's sixth pick, 209th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
