Knights Recall Neiszner From Las Vegas

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights announced today that they have recalled center Chris Neiszner (NEEZ-nuhr) from the Las Vegas Wranglers, their affiliate in the ECHL. He will join the Knights in time for their game on Wednesday night at Chicago.

Neiszner is in his first professional season. In 31 games with Las Vegas this season, he has seven goals and seven assists for 14 points. He also has 16 penalty minutes. The native of Craik, Saskatchewan attended both the Calgary Flames' and the Knights' training camp in September. Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons of junior hockey for the Red Deer Rebels in the Western Hockey League. In 286 career games, he scored 49 goals and added 52 assists for 101 points. He also had 20 points in 61 career playoff games. Neiszner was signed by the Flames as a free agent in July of 2005.

The Knights begin a three-in-three stretch tonight when they take on the Chicago Wolves at 7:00 p.m. On Thursday, they'll visit the Milwaukee Admirals for a 7:00 p.m. face-off. The Knights return home on Friday to host the Manchester Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. Fans are invited to bring their skates to the Civic Auditorium for a skate with the team immediately following the game. All three games can be heard live on 1420 AM KOTK and on the web at omahaaksarbenknights.com. The games can also be watched on-line by clicking on the B2 Networks link on the web site.

Tickets for all home games are available at the Civic Auditorium box office, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The box office is open through the opening face-off on game nights.
