Green Bay Rockers News Release
MEQUON, Wis. - The Green Bay Booyah shutout the Lakeshore Chinooks at Kapco Park on Monday night, 5-0. With the win, Green Bay now has a three-game winning streak.
The three facets of the game were present in the victory: hitting, pitching and fielding.
Eight different players in the starting lineup recorded at least one hit, highlighted by Dayson Croes' (Quincy) two base knocks. Phil Healy (Columbia) went 4.2 innings, allowing just two hits, walking three and did not allow a run. Jacob Riordan (Georgia State) threw 1.1 innings and did not allow a hit or a walk. Connor Langreder (Northern Illinois) recorded a three inning save in his first outing of the summer. The Booyah did not commit an error on the field.
The scoring started in the fourth inning thanks to a solo home run to right field by Tristin Garcia (Alcorn State). Later in the inning, Nadir Lewis (Princeton) connected for an RBI single to score Preston Hall (Charleston) to give Green Bay a 2-0 lead.
In the sixth, Lewis drove in another as his sacrifice fly scored Matt Rivera (Harford CC). In the seventh, Nick Dagnello (Charleston) had a two-run double to right field that drove Croes and Nathan Blasick (West Virginia) in to give Green Bay a 5-0 lead.
Dalton Pearson (Georgia State) entered the game leading the Northwoods League in batting average at .526. The outfielder added another hit tonight.
The Booyah will be back in action on Tuesday night as they travel to Athletic Park in Wausau to take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The Booyah will turn to Clemson's Evan Estridge, who will make his first appearance for the Booyah this summer.
