Saskatoon Blades News Release
BROUGHT THE HEAT: The Saskatoon Blades ended the season-series vs the WHL's top Winnipeg ICE with a 3-2 win on Goalie Night at SaskTel Centre. Forwards Brandon Lisowsky, Egor Sidorov, and Jake Chiasson all scored in the contest. The ladder's five-hole goal stood as the game winner, giving Chiasson three goals in his last four games. It's a statement win for the Blades who improve to 31-12-3-1, good enough for third in the Eastern Conference with 66 points.
CHADDY STEALS THE SHOW: Hometown boy Ethan Chadwick was out of this world tonight in the crease. The 6-foot netminder put up 34 saves, including a save-of-the-year candidate in the dying seconds to secure the win. The 19-year-old goalie improves to 14-7-1-1, and earns his second win against the ICE this season.
NEXT GAME: Saskatoon's back in action tomorrow as they welcome the Brandon Wheat Kings for our Kids Takeover game presented by SaskTel!
Puck drop is 4:00pm.
