Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons host the Rochester Red Wings in the first game of a five-game in three-day series at Coca-Cola Field (Game 1: 5:35 p.m.). Today's doubleheader is because of a rainout on May 31. The teams will make up last night's rainout with another twinbill on Thursday. Both the Herd and the Wings are 5.0 games back in the IL North.

vs. the Red Wings

Rochester holds a 5-4 edge in the season series thus far. The Red Wings took two of three when the teams last met, July 7-9 at Frontier Field. In addition to being knotted up in the playoff race, both clubs are 13-9 in Thruway Cup matches this season.

Todd Redmond

RHP TODD REDMOND will make his fifth start of the year in game one tonight. Redmond threw three innings on Wednesday, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks, despite striking out five. Overall, the righty holds a 5.87 ERA in his four starts this season (15.1 IP).

Chad Jenkins

RHP CHAD JENKINS will make the game two spot start. Jenkins has started six games for the Herd this year, going 1-1 with a 2.36 ERA in 26.2 innings. His last start came June 25 in Lehigh Valley where he tossed four shutout innings. Jenkins seven wins are 3rd on the Bisons.

MattVP

INF MATT HAGUE leads the International League with 152 hits -30 more than the next closest hitter. Hague is looking to become the first Bisons batter to lead the league in hits at the end of the season since Jesus Feliciano collected 154 in 2009. With seven more hits, he would have the 2nd most in a single season in the Bisons modern era. The Herd's record is 181 by Jhonny Peralta in 2004.
