Pigs Continue Road Trip in Syracuse

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will continue their 10-game road trip when they open a three-game set with the Syracuse Chiefs on Tuesday night. First pitch from NBT Bank Stadium in Syracuse is set for 7:05 p.m. The Pigs sit in fourth place in the North Division at 53-63 after taking two of three at Columbus over the weekend. The Chiefs are in fifth with a record of 50-67 and have won seven in a row after recording back-to-back sweeps of Pawtucket.

RHP Sean O'Sullivan (1-1, 4.70) gets the ball for the Pigs in the series opener. O'Sullivan earned the win on Wednesday at Toledo when he gave up one run on five hits while walking four and fanning a pair over five innings of work. In his 4 GS with Lehigh Valley, lefties are hitting just .216 (11-51) against the San Diego native.

RHP Taylor Jordan (4-4, 2.46) will be on the bump for Syracuse in the series opener. Last time out, the right-hander got the win vs. Pawtucket on Wednesday after surrendering a run on three hits to go along with two walks and five strikeouts in 7.0 IP. Jordan will be making his third start of the year against the IronPigs. In the two previous starts, the Merritt Island, Fla. native is 0-0 with a 1.93 ERA having allowed just three earned runs in 14.0 innings.
