Today's Games

This evening, the Bisons take on the Rochester Red Wings in the first two games of a four-game in three day series from Coca-Cola Field (Game 1: 5:35 p.m.). Friday's second game is a makeup of an April 10 postponement due to wind. The Herd look to get back on track after being swept by the Indians in a three-game series this week.

The Thruway Cup

The Bisons are 1-2 against the Red Wings this season. Rochester won at Coca-Cola Field on Opening Day before the team's split a pair of games at Frontier Field over the first weekend of the season. At 6-3, the Red Wings have a two game lead on Syracuse in the 2015 Thruway Cup standings.

Miguel Castro

In game one, RHP MIGUEL CASTRO will make his fifth start for the Herd this season. The righty is coming off his best start as a Bison, throwing five innings and giving up one unearned run while striking out a six last Saturday in Toledo. Castro has not yielded an earned run in any of his last three starts

Jeff Francis

LHP JEFF FRANCIS will start the second game of the doubleheader for the Bisons. The southpaw has one start this season with the Herd as well as a two relief appearances. In his only start, Francis pitched five shutout innings in a win on April 10 against Pawtucket (2 H, 5 SO).

Devon Travis

INF DEVON TRAVIS has joined the Herd on an MLB injury rehab assignment. Travis has been on the Blue Jays disabled list since May 21 with left shoulder inflammation. Travis was batting .271 with seven home runs and 26 RBI with Toronto before his injury.

Roster Move

RHP BO SCHULTZ has been recalled by the Blue Jays. The righty has pitched in 16 games with Buffalo this season with a 2-1 record and a 1.69 ERA in 21.1 innings of work. Schultz has closed out a Buffalo-team high seven game in 10 opportunities.

Bisons Bits

Blue Jays C DIONER NAVARRO has played two games as part of his MLB injury rehab assignment. He has one hit in four at-bats with two walks and a sac fly...RHP SCOTT COPELAND was optioned by the Blue Jays on Thursday. Today, Toronto announced that RHP TODD REDMOND has cleared waivers and will be outrighted to the Bisons.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (22-27) were off yesterday. Toronto starts a three-game series tonight against Twins (8:10 p.m.) in Minnesota. The Blue Jays are 3.5 games back of the Yankees for first place in the A.L. East division.
