
Pigs Open Three-Game Set at Charlotte

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs continue their seven-game road trip when they battle the Charlotte Knights on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. from BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte. The IronPigs come in at 19-30 on the year after dropping three out of four to Gwinnett, while the Knights sit atop the South Division at 27-20 after taking three of four from Columbus.
LHP Adam Morgan (0-4, 4.78) gets the start for the Pigs in the series opener on Friday. On Sunday vs. Charlotte at Coca-Cola Park, Morgan got a no-decision after surrendering three runs on three hits over six innings of work while walking three and fanning five. The southpaw is 0-0 with a 7.71 ERA (14.0 IP, 12 ER) over his last 3 GS.
RHP Brad Penny (3-3, 4.91) will be on the bump for manager Joel Skinner's squad. Like his counterpart Morgan, Penny also got a no-decision on Sunday vs. the IronPigs after allowing five runs (one earned) on seven hits to go along with three strikeouts in 6.0 IP. The Blackwell, Okla. native has tossed at least six innings in three of his last four starts.
Pigs OF Jordan Danks is Charlotte's all-time hits leader with 449. Danks played parts of five seasons with the Knights from 2010-2014 and hit .267-52-222 in that span.
