Today's Game

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons host a doubleheader against the Charlotte Knights to open a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (Game 1, 4:05 p.m.). Yesterday, the Herd lost 7-2 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre as the RailRiders swept the three-game set. Following this series against the Knights, Buffalo will travel to Lehigh Valley and Syracuse before returning home on June 23.

This is the first meeting of the regular season between Buffalo and Charlotte. Last year, the Herd went 7-1 against the Knights, including a 4-0 sweep at Coca-Cola Field (May 1-4). Prior to that series, the Bisons had not beaten Charlotte in a home set since taking three of four from the Knights in 2010.

Randy Wolf

LHP RANDY WOLF will make his 12th start of the season in game one this evening. The southpaw is coming off an outing in which he threw 3.2 innings and gave up five runs on seven hits in a no-decision in Louisville on Saturday. Wolf has not allowed a home run to any of the 257 batters he's faced this year.

Jeff Francis

LHP JEFF FRANCIS will get the nod for game two of tonight's doubleheader. Francis' last start also came in the second half of a doubleheader for the Bisons (May 29 vROC). In that appearance, he went 3.0 innings, allowing two runs on four hits against the Red Wings.

Matt Hague

INF MATT HAGUE continues to lead all International League batters in average (.341), hits (76), doubles (17), and on-base percentage (.415). The slugger also leads the Bisons in multi-hit games (23) as well as multi-RBI games (9). Hague leads all third baseman in fan voting for the 2015 Triple-A All-Star Game in Omaha, NE.

Roster Moves

The Bisons have activated INF MUNENORI KAWASAKI after Toronto optioned him yesterday...OF MELKY MESA also joins the team, promoted from Double-A New Hampshire. OF CHRIS DICKERSON has been placed on the disabled list.

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (31-30) extended their winning streak to eight yesterday, following a 7-2 over the Marlins to sweep the series. Former Bison Scott Copeland threw 7.0 innings, giving up six hits and just one run for his first career MLB win. Justin Smoak and Russell Martin powered the offense, each going 2-4 with 2 RBI. Toronto is off today and will head to Boston for a three-game series against the Red Sox beginning tomorrow (7:10 p.m.)
