Today's Game

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Louisville Bats in the first game of a four-game series at Louisville Slugger Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd closed out a three-game series in Indianapolis with a 3-0 loss to the Indians. Buffalo is now 1-2 on their current road trip.

vs. the Bats

The Bisons went 1-2 against Louisville when the Bats came to Buffalo, May 1-3. The Herd dropped the first two meetings by scores of 9-7 and 5-2, respectively. However, they bounced back to take the series finale with a 3-2 victory. It was the first time Louisville won a series in Buffalo since the 2008 season.

Scott Copeland

RHP SCOTT COPELAND will make his seventh start of the season. In his last start, May 14 against Toledo, he allowed four runs and five hits over six innings. Since then, Copeland received two promotions to the Blue Jays (DNP) and appeared in one game out of the Bisons bullpen, May 29 against Rochester (3.2 IP, 4 H). On the season, the righty has not allowed more than three walks in a start this year for Buffalo.

Matt Hague

INF MATT HAGUE leads all International League batters in hits (70) and doubles (17) doubles, while his 34 RBI are tied for the most in the IL. Hague also ranks 2nd in batting average (.354) and on-base pct (.427) and 4th in slugging pct. (.500). He enters tonight's game on a six-game hit streak over which he has averaged .545 (12-22.).

Pitching Staff

Bisons pitchers lead the International League with a 2.75 ERA. The staff has allowed just 20 home runs in 464.0 innings, third-best in the IL. Buffalo has also yielded 46 fewer hits (418) than innings pitched for a .240 average against.

Gregory Infante

RHP GREGORY INFANTE has been nearly untouchable as of late. The reliever has thrown shutout baseball in 10 consecutive games, allowing just eight hits and eight walks over 15.0 innings of work. He has allowed a run in only four of his 19 appearances out of the bullpen this season.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (25-30) routed the Nationals in Washington on Wednesday. Toronto's 8-0 victory was their second shutout of 2015. LHP Mark Buehrle allowed six hits while striking out two in a complete-game effort. The Blue Jays are off today before starting a six-game homestand against Houston and Miami on Friday.
