Today's Games

This evening, the Bisons square off with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders in a doubleheader that includes a make-up game from 4/19. This will close a quick two-day, three-game series. The Herd will return home tomorrow for a three-game series against Syracuse as part of a six-game homestand through 7/3.

Yesterday's Game: BUF 1, SWB 10

The Bisons seven-game win streak ended with a 10-1 loss to the RailRiders on Wednesday. The IL North leaders hit five home runs total, with one in each of the first three innings. Bo Bichette collected two hits and drove in the lone Buffalo run.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (5-10)

Buffalo and the RailRiders are meeting for second series in Moosic this season. Scranton has already completed the season series at Sahlen Field for 2019, with a four-game set still in tap at PNC Field August 30-September 2.

Today's Gm 1 Starter

RHP T.J. Zeuch will take the mound for his second start with the Bisons this season. In his Triple-A debut, Zeuch went 5.2 IP allowing just two hits and one walk. After receiving a win in his first start he looks to continue his success with the Herd.

Today's Gm 2 Starter

LHP Tayler Saucedo is slated to take the ball in the latter game of the twin bill. His last start was on 6/23 in Buffalo against the Norfolk Tides. The southpaw threw four innings in the spot start.

Patrick Kivlehan

Patrick Kivlehan contributed to last night's four hits with his single in the seventh inning. Kivlehan now has a six-game hit streak where he is batting 7-19 (.368).

Bo Bichette

Bo Bichette continued his hit streak last night after reaching base three times, going 2-3 on the night with a walk and a stolen base. The infielder has ten hits in sixteen at-bats, earning a .625 batting average.

Bisons Bits

Buffalo's pitching staff remains near the top in the month of June, despite last night's loss. They are currently 3rd in ERA (3.89) and 5th in strike outs (224)...The Herd's 17 wins is still 2nd best in the International League this month. Rochester's 18 wins is the most in the IL heading into tonight's action...The Bisons have hit 30 home runs as a team in June, the most in any of the three months of the regular season so far. Buffalo hit 22 in April and 23 in May.

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (29-52) closed out their three-game series with a loss in New York against the Yankees yesterday, 8-7. Toronto's three runs in the first inning, including a homer from Gurriel Jr., were not enough. The team has a scheduled off day today before opening up a ten-day homestand that includes a Canada Day matchup with the Kansas City Royals on July 1st.
