Notes: The Lansing Lugnuts got off to a quick start when catcher Brian Bormaster, hit his second home run of the season. Lansing scored two more times in the top of the fourth. Jacob Butler led off the inning with a walk and after a pop out to the second basemen he advanced to third on a single by Brian Pettway. With two outs Anthony Garibaldi drew a walk, loading the bases. Yuber Rodriguez then singled to left fielder Tarrence Patterson scoring Butler and Pettway. The Snappers got into the action in the bottom of the sixth inning. Lansing's starting pitcher, Chi-Hung Cheng, started off by walking the bases loaded. Sean Stidfole came in to relieve Cheng and threw a wild pitch, scoring Mark Robinson while advancing Juan Portes to third and Tarrence Patterson to second. Andrew Thompson then drove in Portes and Patterson on a single to center field, tying the game 3-3. With the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth Caleb Moore singled to center scoring Erik Lis, giving Beloit a 4-3 lead. Yohan Pino worked a scoreless ninth, earning his third save of the season and giving Beloit a 4-3 win.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers will play game two of four against the Lansing Lugnuts tomorrow, June 23 at 7:00 PM. The Lugnuts and Snappers are in the middle of a four game series which concludes on Sunday, June 25. All four games are being played at Pohlman Field in Beloit, Wisconsin.
