November 4, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hershey Bears News Release
11/4/2005 8:43:00 AM - HERSHEY looks to get back in the win column and claw their way closer to first place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton tonight as the team bus heads down the Turnpike to south Philadelphia. The game is the first meeting of 12 this season between the two clubs.
The BEARS have collected points in three of four games on the road trip to solidify the club's hold on second place in the East Division. Philadelphia returns home tonight after losing four games in a row to drop below the .500 mark. However, the Phantoms have some motivation this evening as the team will raise their 2004-05 Calder Cup Champions banner before the game.
HERSHEY enters the game missing Tomas Fleischmann and Nolan Yonkman. Both players were recalled Thursday to Washington and both played against the Flyers Thursday night at the Wachovia Center. Chris Bala will make his season debut for the BEARS tonight. Bala signed a player tryout contract Thursday morning.
Tonight's game can be heard on 100.1 FM WQIC, Pennlive.com and can be seen on B2 Networks through HersheyBears.com. John Walton has the call from south Philadelphia beginning at 6:45 p.m. tonight. The BEARS return home Saturday to face the Springfield Falcons at GIANT Center at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 508-BEAR. Saturday's game is Capital Blue Cross Night, with the first 3,500 fans through the gates picking up a free HERSHEY BEARS car magnet.
