Smith, Syvret recalled to by Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers announced today that they have recalled defensemen Dan Smith and Danny Syvret from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Smith, 29, has played in nine games for Hamilton this season, recording one assist and eight penalty minutes. In 15 career NHL games with the Colorado Avalanche, Smith has gone scoreless and collected nine penalty minutes.

Syvret, 20, has skated in seven games for the Bulldogs this season, posting one assist and six penalty minutes.

The Hamilton Bulldogs next action will take place on Saturday, November 5, when the Toronto Marlies visit Copps Coliseum.
