Baysox Blanket Fans With Appreciation

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox will celebrate Fan Appreciation Day at Prince George's Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 6, as the team takes on the Harrisburg Senators at 2:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans ages three and up will receive a free fleece Baysox blanket, limit one per person. Fans can sign up for a free raffle and will meet the team before the game as Baysox players and coaches sign autographs on the concourse level of the stadium.
Baysox Assistant General Manager Phil Wrye says the blankets are one of the best Fan Appreciation Day giveaways he's seen. "We've given away hats and t-shirts in the past," said Wrye. "This year we wanted to give fans something that they could use through the entire off-season. We want to remind our fans through the long, cold winter that every day brings them a little bit closer to another exciting year of Baysox baseball."
In addition to the blankets, fans could go home with a number of prizes from the free raffle, including Orioles tickets, Allman Brothers Band tickets, gift certificates from local restaurants and businesses, as well as fabulous Baysox prizes.
Stadium gates will open at 12:30 p.m. and Baysox players and coaches will sign autographs until 1:15 p.m. Pitching Coach Larry McCall and that day's starting pitcher and catcher will not be available for autographs.
