LOUISVILLE,Ky. - The Louisville Bats lost in the series opener to the Buffalo Bisons, 3-1. The Bison hit two solo home runs in the first to secure their lead.

The Bats' major league rehabber Homer Bailey (0-1, 7.71) took the loss, pitching one inning and allowing three hits, two home runs, and striking out one. Buffalo right-hander Chris Leroux (6-4, 3.15) pitched six and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits, one run, while striking out one.

In the first inning the Bisons hit two solo home runs to jump out to a 2-0 lead.

The Bats threatened in the seventh, getting their first run of the night with an RBI single by Raffy Lopez to bring the score to 2-1.

Buffalo added an insurance run in the ninth with an RBI groundout by Darrell Ceciliani to bring the Bisons lead to 3-1.

The Bats will try and tie the series tomorrow night. Louisville right-hander Daniel Wright (1-2, 5.73) will be on the mound. The Bison will counter with right-hander Drew Hutchison (5-3, 2.99). First pitch will be at 7:05 p.m.
