June 27, 2016 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
Phillies RHP Dalier Hinojosa is scheduled to continue his rehab assignment when the IronPigs host the Columbus Clippers at Coca-Cola Park tonight at 7:05 p.m. Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network is the exclusive sponsor of all Major League rehabilitation appearances at Coca-Cola Park.
Hinojosa, 30, who has been on the Disabled List since April 29 due to a bruised right hand, began his rehab stint on June 20 with Single-A Clearwater and posted a 0-0 record with a 2.25 ERA in 3 games and 4.0 innings pitched. Prior to the injury, he'd gone 0-1 with a 3.27 ERA in 10 relief appearances with the Phillies.
Hinojosa was claimed off waivers by the Phillies from Boston on July 15, 2015 and had tremendous success in the second half of the season, posting a 0.78 ERA in 18 relief outings with the Phillies while finishing the season with a career-best 10.0-inning scoreless streak. A Cuban native, Hinojosa made his professional debut in 2014 with Triple-A Pawtucket. In his Major League debut (and only appearance with the Red Sox) on May 3, 2015, he worked 1.2 scoreless innings against the New York Yankees.
Tonight's game also features a post-game Human Cannonball performance by David "The Bullet" Smith presented by PSECU.
