Glasnow Looks to Continue Remarkable Run
June 27, 2016 - International League (IL1)
Indianapolis Indians News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - Tyler Glasnow has made five starts and allowed five hits in June, a month of dominance he looks to cap off tonight at 7:05 p.m. when he is scheduled to start on the mound for the Indians.
Glasnow has not allowed a hit in his last 13 innings combined, making back-to-back starts in which he did not allow a base hit. He has not surrendered a run in his last 20 full innings of work.
Called "the most unhittable pitcher you haven't seen" by Yahoo! Sports, Glasnow has been nearly perfect in June to highlight a strong 2016 campaign. This month, he has gone 2-0 with a 0.32 ERA and allowed just one earned run in 28.0 innings. Opponents are 5-for-86 against him in June.
Overall this season, Glasnow leads the International League in ERA (1.61), strikeouts (100), and opponent batting average (.174).
The Indians will also host Gwinnett on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. and Wednesday at 1:35 p.m.
