Louisville Bats News Release

LOUISVILLE, KY -- Trey Mancini's debut started off with a bang, totaling two homer and three RBI to help lift the Bats to a 6-5 win over visiting Toledo.

Jhonny Pereda also had a two run homer, bringing his on-base streak to 20 games.

Mancini put the Bats on the board first, with a home run in his first at bat for a 1-0 lead.

The Mud Hens regained the lead in the third inning off a double and a bases-loaded sac fly.

The lead wouldn't last long as Louisville tied the game thanks to a Mancini double that scored Alejo Lopez, who reached base on a walk.

The Bats took the lead once again at 4-2 in the fourth inning off Pereda's two-run homer before each club went scoreless in the following three innings.

Toledo's offense picked up in the eighth inning, scoring three runs off a single, walked batter and two-run double.

Once again, it was Mancini's bat that made a difference. His solo home run tied the game at 5-5 before Louisville loaded the bases. With two outs, Eric Yang beat the plate at first base to single, scoring Jason Vosler.

Daniel Duarte stepped on the mound in the top of the ninth, earning his seventh save of the year without allowing a hit.
