Ottawa 67's News Release
The Ottawa 67's wrap up a rare two-game set at home, Sunday afternoon, when the North Bay Battalion come to town for a 2:00pm puckdrop. Fans can watch live on Rogers TV, or CHL TV. Kenny Walls has the radio call on 580 CFRA.
While the 67's haven't found the win column as much, lately, it's been through no lack of effort, or production. Rookie forward, and 2022 NHL Entry Draft prospect Vinzenz Rohrer has led the way, offensively, with eight points in his last 10 games entering the weekend. He's been bolstered in support by the likes of Cam Tolnai, and Vsevolod Gaidamak, and the 67's have also gotten a boost in the returning Jack Beck, who reentered the lineup against Mississauga, last weekend, for the first time since November 7.
The Battalion enter the weekend, finding their way back on to the right track. North Bay had won six straight, entering Friday, and it was a win streak that began at Ottawa's expense, with a 3-2 shootout win at home, on January 30. Brandon Coe has been red-hot, with 15 points in his last 10 games, and eclipsing the 30-goal mark, last weekend.
Ottawa has a chance to clinch the season series, Sunday, as they lead 3-2, with this being the final meeting of the season between the 67's, and the Troops.
With both teams beginning to get their feet under them, again, after a difficult stretch, and with playoff implications on the line, fans coming out to The Arena at TD Place can expect to be treated to an exciting afternoon of hockey.
