Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves will host their 13th annual "Baby Derby," presented by College Illinois!, and a mascot broomball game during intermissions at their home game against the Rockford IceHogs on Sun., March 27, at 3 p.m.

During the first intermission, mascots from local professional teams including South Paw from the Chicago White Sox, Sparky from the Chicago Fire and DIBS from DePaul University, will join a group of 14 mascots that will fight it out in a broomball game on the ice. The Wolves mascot, Skates, will act as referee.

Then, during the second intermission, five babies, ages 10 to 12 months, who were selected in a random drawing, will crawl from start to finish on a five-lane mat at center ice. The first baby to cross the finish line will win his or her family a three-night luxury home getaway in Galena/Jo Daviess County.

The mascots will be available to meet with fans in the lower concourse before the game. In addition, the first 5,000 fans in the arena will receive a Skates Mascot Wall Cling as part of College Illinois! Day.

For more information or tickets to the game, visit chicagowolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES. Fans can also watch the intermission events live, exclusively on My50 Chicago.
