LAST GAME: The B-Mets struck out a season-high 14 batters in their 10th shutout win of the year, beating New Britain 3-0 Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium. Michael Fulmer tossed six shutout innings, matching a season-high with nine strikeouts, in his sixth win of the year. Paul Sewald notched his 14th consecutive save and 16th overall. Jonathan Galvez went 3-for-3 with two RBI, while former Rock Cat Joe Benson drove in the first B-Met win.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Robert Gsellman is making his 11th start of the season and second against New Britain. Gsellman is coming off his first no-decision in a B-Met uniform, allowing one run in a season-high 7.1

innings. The righty notched the win against New Britain at New Britain Stadium earlier this year, surrendering one run in six frames. Gsellman has worked to a 2.75 ERA in his last eight starts.

NEW BRITAIN STARTER: LHP Harrison Musgrave is making his fourth start with New Britain and first against Binghamton. Musgrave has gone 10-1 in with a 2.88 in 16 starts with Modesto (High-A). The southpaw earned a

no-decision in his last start, allowing two runs in five innings against Reading. He's in search of his first win in exactly four weeks. It's his first stint in Double-A.

ROCKING THE 'CATS: Binghamton is 9-2 against New Britain this season, outscoring the Rock Cats 46-24. Binghamton has held New Britain to fewer than three runs in eight of the 11 meetings. A win Wednesday would tie

Binghamton with their 2008 team for most wins in a season against New Britain since 2004.

BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE LETTER K: Binghamton has struck out 102 Rock Cats in the11 games between the two teams, an average of 9.3 a game. Binghamton has notched double-digit strikeouts against the Rock Cats in five

consecutive games, setting a new season-high in three of them. New Britain leads the league in strikeouts (823) after their 14 Tuesday night, a season-high for the B-Mets pitching staff.

MAKING UP FOR LOST TIME: After beginning his B-Met career 0-for-16, Jonathan Galvez has now reached base in five consecutive plate appearances (4-for-4, BB, 2 RBI). He matched season-high's in both hits (3) and RBI (2) in

Tuesday's win.

FIRST IMPRESSION: Former Rock Cat Joe Benson has reached base in his first 15 games with the B-Mets. Seven of his nine B-Met RBI have come on go-ahead hits, while another tied a game.

BEAST IN THE EAST: Binghamton has the best record of Eastern teams against their own division (35-24). The B-Mets have won 24 of their last 32 games against the East, propelling themselves into first place. In contrast, Binghamton is 21-22 against the West. Their series with New Britain ends a stretch of 24 consecutive games against their own division.

LUCKY NUMBER 7: The B-Mets lead the league with 17 July wins, the most for Binghamton in a single month this season. The B-Mets lead the league in team ERA (2.00) and rank second in home runs (19) for the month.

SAVED: Binghamton is 9-for-9 in saves since July 2nd. The B-Mets now lead the league with 33 saves in 43 opportunities.
