B-Mets Release Schedule for 25th Season

BINGHAMTON, NY - The 2014 Eastern League Champion Binghamton Mets are thrilled to announce their schedule for the 2016 season, the 25th in franchise history. With the B-Mets bidding for an unprecedented third consecutive playoff berth, the team is happy to give fans a look at what's in store for 2016.

The B-Mets kick off their 71-game home schedule at NYSEG Stadium against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Thursday, April 7. The B-Mets will be home for four major spring and summer events including Mother's Day (May 8), Memorial Day (May 30), Independence Day eve (July 3) and Labor Day (Sept 5).

A special Memorial Day Weekend showdown against the Trenton Thunder, the Double-A Yankees, highlights the early part of the season. The B-Mets battle the Thunder in a preview of the Subway Series, May 27-30. Trenton makes another visit to the Southern Tier, June 7-9.

The schedule for the B-Mets renowned fireworks shows and promotions, including events related to Binghamton's season-long celebration of 25 seasons in the Southern Tier will be announced at a later date.

The B-Mets will play at NYSEG Stadium for eleven weekends during the season, including eight from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Home games from Monday through Thursday will be scheduled to start at 6:35 PM throughout the season with the following exceptions: May 30 (Memorial Day), May 26 (Baseball in Education Day) and September 7 (Labor Day).

Friday games throughout the year will start at 7:05 PM and Saturday contests from May 26 onward will begin at 7:05 PM. Aside from 6:35 PM first pitches on May 29, July 3 and September 4, Sunday home games will commence at 1:05 PM.
