Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators struggled again to wake up the bats in a 6-1 loss to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats Wednesday afternoon at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Harrisburg (50-55) has lost nine of 11 after losing all three to New Hampshire.
Colin Bates started Wednesday's game and allowed three runs on five hits in four innings. Bates walked two and struck out one while throwing 78 pitches and 41 strikes. Wander Suero struggled with his command in two innings of work, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks in relief of Bates. Erik Davis then pitched two scoreless innings, allowing a hit and a walk while striking out a pair.
Harrisburg scored its only run in the bottom of the seventh inning when Brian Jeroloman scored on a wild pitch. Jeroloman, who was 2-for-3 with a walk, was one of three Senators to reach base three times. Shawn Pleffner and Derrick Robinson both finished 2-for-3 with a walk as well. Isaac Ballou had the only other Senators hit - a single in the ninth inning. Harrisburg was 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position and left nine on base.
The Senators will now travel to Portland to begin a four-game series with the Sea Dogs. Thursday night's series opener will begin at 7:00 p.m. The pregame show will begin at 6:45 p.m. on Fox Sports 1460am, iHeart Radio, and on Tune In.
