Last time out...
The Freedom lost 7-4 Friday night to the Gateway Grizzlies. The Grizzlies never trailed as they took a 1-0 lead in the second against Freedom starter Michael O'Neal (1-3). Three straight singles loaded the bases and a RBI grounder from Madison Beaird plated the first run of the game. A Richard Seigel RBI single in the sixth put Gateway up 2-0. In the bottom of the sixth a Cole Miles sacrifice fly got the Freedom to within one. The Grizzlies extended their lead to 4-1 in the eighth on a RBI fielder's choice and a RBI single from Madison Beaird. A Doug Joyce RBI single in the eighth made the score 4-2 and the Freedom loaded the bases with only one out. But a Chance Ross double play ball ended the inning and Gateway pulled away with three runs in the top of the ninth. Florence plated two runs of their own in the bottom of the ninth but it wasn't enough as they lost their second straight home series.
