NORMAL, Ill. - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, overcame an early deficit with a walk-off 10th inning home run by Pat McKenna for a 4-3 win over the Rockford Aviators on Saturday night at the Corn Crib.

Rockford put up a big inning in their first time up as they loaded the bases on two singles and a walk and received RBIs from a Kenny Bryant base hit and a Brian Bistagne sacrifice fly to center field for a quick 2-0 lead. The Aviators added an unearned run in the second inning when Mason Morioka knocked a one-out double and scored from second base on a dropped fly ball in center field with two outs.

The CornBelters cut the margin to 3-1 in the fourth inning when Aaron Dudley was hit by a pitch to lead off, went to second on another hit batsman and scored on a two-out single by Tyler Shover.

The Belters tied the game in the eighth inning when Richard Lucas singled, went to second on a wild pitch and scored on a double to left by McKenna, followed by an RBI single by Ozney Guillen with two outs. McKenna then ended the game with two outs in the tenth by sending a 1-0 pitch over the right field fence.

Jason Postill (5-1) earned the win in relief while Eric Cendejas (0-2) took the loss.

The home stand concludes with a 6 p.m. Sunday doubleheader with the Rockford Aviators. In the opener, Mike Schweiss (1-2, 11.36 ERA) makes his first start since early June as he returns to the Belters from the injured list, while the Aviators counter with right-hander Kyle Hassna (1-2, 1.70). In the nightcap, the Belters give the ball to lefty Matt Packer (1-1, 3.55) as Rockford sends righty Cole Green (2-4, 5.62).
