(Florence, KY) - The Traverse City Beach Bums (26-41) scored three runs fourth and four runs in the fifth on their way to a 10-1 victory over the Florence Freedom (26-39) Saturday night at UC Health Stadium.

After three scoreless innings, Freedom starter Casey Henn (5-5) struggled in the fourth. Jose Vargas singled to start the frame and Jovan Rosa doubled him home. One out later Kevin Taylor doubled in Rosa for the second run of the inning. Jake Rhodes would single in Taylor to extend the Traverse City lead to 3-0.

In the fifth Henn walked the first three batters of the inning to load the bases with nobody out. Chris Cummins entered the game and immediately gave up a RBI single to Sean Gusrang. Kevin Taylor reached on an error by Preston Overbey and two more runs crossed the plate for the Beach Bums. Traverse City scored their fourth and final run of the inning on a 6-4-3 double play.

Tanis launched his second home run of the season in the sixth to cut the Traverse City lead to 7-1.

But the Beach Bums scored one run in the seventh, one in the eighth on a Rosa home run and one in the ninth as well to finish off Florence.
