May 29, 2012 - Frontier League (FL)
Florence Y'alls News Release
FLORENCE, KY - On Tuesday, June 5, the cities of Alexandria and Cold Spring will be coming together to celebrate a night of togetherness, fun and baseball at the Home of the Florence Freedom, all while supporting a cause that hits home to the Campbell County communities.
On April 3, 2011, six-year-old Alexandria resident Casen Schrock was riding his bicycle in his driveway when a tree fell on him, causing severe, life-threatening head injuries. To this day, Casen suffers from the brain injury that requires therapy and multiple visits to the doctor. His family is attempting to manage the many financial needs of his treatments.
To assist the Schrock family with their financial burden, the Florence Freedom and Alexandria Mayor William T. Rachford, Jr. have worked together in organizing the June 5 date for local businesses and residents to support their close to home charity. The concept; NKY.com-Unity Tuesday, Alexandria/Cold Spring Night presented by Woodman of the World.
By visiting the Florence Freedom website at FlorenceFreedom.com and clicking on the "community " tab, fans interested in supporting the Casen can find a link to purchase their June 5 Freedom tickets online, and in doing so, receive a $2 discount.
With this special deal available only online, the Freedom can track the amount of tickets purchased through the Alexandria/Cold Spring night link, and then cut a check directly to the Schrock family in the amount of $3 x the amount of tickets purchased! The more community residents come out, the more money will be raised in Casen's recovery efforts.
For your Alexandria or Cold Spring business to get involved in supporting Casen, contact the Freedom at 859-594-4487 ex 20. Sponsorships allow business to set up a promotional booth on the Freedom's concourse, logo placement on the video board, tickets and more, all while a portion of each sponsorship going directly to the Schrock family.
Current local businesses that have stepped up in support of this night and the Shrock family include:
Woodman of the World
Susan's Salon & Spa
Reitman Auto Sales & Parts
