
Concert Featuring American English Scheduled for August 25th

On Saturday, August 25, 2012, the ThunderBolts are hosting their first concert at Standard Bank Stadium. The complete Beatles tribute, American English will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. performing the complete Shea Stadium set from 1965. After a brief intermission, hits from Sgt. Pepper and "Get Back" will complete the evening. American English perform songs from the entire career of the Beatles from 1963 - 1970. With precise attention to every musical detail, along with costume changes, American English has been voted the "Best Tribute Band" the last 6 years according to Nitelife.org. In addition, an article in Newsweek this year quoted American English as "The Best Beatle Band on the Planet".
The Windy City ThunderBolts are excited to showcase American English at the ballpark in August. General Manager Mike Lucas said, "We are excited to welcome American English and make the thought of a concert at the stadium a reality." Lucas continues, "We expect fans from all over the Southland to attend the concert in August."
Tickets for the August 25th concert go on sale to the general public on Saturday, June 2, 2012 @ 10:00 a.m. Tickets purchased in advance will be $10.00 ($15.00 the day of the concert). The stage will be set up on the infield dirt, next to 3rd base, utilizing seating in both the lower and upper deck. For questions, please call the ThunderBolts box office at 708-489-2255.
